- Airgas operates its own dedicated blending facilities as well as maintains a national network of blending technology to ensure accurate, consistent production.
|
- Always use in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- Cylinder must be stored and used in an upright, secured position in a well-ventilated or monitored area.
- Always follow local fire code requirements when storing cylinder of flammable, oxidizer, or toxic gases.
- Becomes extremely corrosive and will vigorously attack copper, silver, zinc, and their alloys in the presence of moisture.
- Combines with silver or mercury to form explosive compounds.
- Major Hazards: Inhalation hazard; Body contact causes severe burns.
- Since ammonia is extremely soluble in aqueous solutions, a trap or check valve should be used to prevent suck back of materials into the cylinder. Suckback can cause an extremely corrosive condition to from within a cylinder, aside from the possibility of having a violent reaction take place within the cylinder.
